Education minister Mohammad Thneibat on Sunday named a taskforce to ensure that public schools nationwide are ready to receive students for the new scholastic year 2014/2015 which starts on August 25.
The team was tasked with following up on education-related issues and coordinate with administrators to resolve any problems that schools might face as the academic year begins, particularly regarding teaching staff, management, textbooks, furniture and school buildings.
The minister asked the team, headed by the ministry's human resources director Sami Salaytah and comprising senior administrators, to provide him with daily reports on their work with observations from the field.
