A Kuwaiti expert on Sunday emphasized the importance of improving education quality and systems in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
Secretary-General of Kuwait's National Commission for UNESCO Abdullatif Al-Buaijan made the remark during a meeting for education output experts in a workshop organized by the Commission in cooperation with the UNESCO regional office in Kuwait.
He added that the office is assessing the progress achieved regarding the Education for All (EFA) six goals.
Al-Buaijan stressed the office role for developing education in the GCC countries, saying that consultations on post 2015 education aim at re-identifying education vision and principles, focusing on equality, merger and good education on all levels.
He also pointed to the efforts to guarantee opportunities of good and lifelong education for all by 2030.
