A well-placed official at the Education Ministry praised on Sunday decisions taken by Education Minister Moheb el Rafei against a number of private and international schools.
"Such decisions are like a revolt against a file, which was ignored for a long period," the official said in statements to MENA.
The official hailed the minister's response to the complaints of parents, stressing that Rafei will pay a number of surprise visits during the coming period.
The minister ordered closing three schools and terminating the licenses of two others due to their irregularities.
The decision will be applicable as of the coming year to protect the future of students, the official said.
