The Ministry of Education will focus on improving the system in nurseries, including the quality of teachers. Early childhood education is the most crucial stage in a child\'s development, UAE Education Minister said on Wednesday. \"Early childhood, from 0 to 6 years of age, is a very crucial stage as this is when children begin to recognise and build their character. Maximum attention to early childhood education is essential to ensure that the new generation we are moulding has a solid foundation,\" said Humaid Mohammad Al Qutami, Minister of Education. \"UAE has already achieved several milestones in the field of education, at par with our social and economic progress. But in order to improve and better it is important to start from the very beginning.\" Article continues below He was speaking after inaugurating a conference on Early Childhood Education, at Meydan hotel, on Wednesday morning. Organised by the Ministry of Education, the two-day conference is being held with the participation of several senior officials, educationists and kindergarten teachers from the UAE as well as the region. The conference will be a platform to share best practices and shed light on the latest researches in the field, with the aim of developing skills and knowledge of those working in kindergarten, officials said.
