Nad Al Sheba, Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and Arabian Ranches remain the three most expensive areas in Dubai as far as school fees are concerned. Deira, Al Karama and Al Qusais/Muhaisnah, on the other hand, offer the lowest tuition fees across the city.
Deira, which hosts 18 schools, is considered to be the lowest priced area in relation to school costs, averaging Dh169,345 (for all year groups), whereas Nad Al Sheba, which hosts eight schools in total, seems to be burning the deepest hole in parents' pockets, with school fees averaging Dh836,563 (across all year groups).
These findings were revealed as part of a study by Bayut.com and Edarabia, which looks at the correlation of school fees versus rental locations. This is the second year in a row the study has been conducted.
The good news for parents is that with the addition of 10 new schools in Dubai this year (bringing the current total to 195), a 3-5 per cent decrease in fees at newly established schools has been witnessed this year. Additionally, tuition fees remained unchanged at some established schools in prominent areas of Dubai.
