BIBF Deputy Director Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh recently met with senior officials from the Imperial College (UK) to discuss potential areas of cooperation between the two institutes for the aim of increasing the number of academic programmes offered through joint initiatives.
The meeting, which took place in the UK, also included discussions around knowledge exchange, and looking into possible specialised joint programmes in the areas of business and financial services.
Dr. Al-Shaikh noted that the talks are part of BIBF’s strategy to expand and bolster its training and academic programmes, and offer more opportunities for students and professionals from Bahrain and abroad to receive globally-accredited certifications, in line with labour market and national development needs.
Currently, BIBF offers many academic programmes in cooperation with international universities such as the University of DePaul (USA) and University of Bangor (UK).
It also provides a wide range of internationally-accredited training and vocational certification courses covering various professional business skills in cooperation with leading global institutions and associations.
