Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Bahrain Children Development Society's Board of Directors Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Fakhroo patronised the Linguistically-Gifted Children's Quiz organised by the Society on Wednesday, November 5.
The Society's encourages linguistically gifted children and feels proud of our rich language and Arab identity which is part of the Society's goals.
The Minister delivered the inaugural speech in which he praised the Society's project aimed to develop children which coincided with the International Day of the Arabic Language. The Society seeks to discover talented and creative Bahraini children.
The Head of the Organising Committee Dr. Anissa Ahmed Fakhroo in her speech said that the event was organized in order to take care of linguistically gifted children and to celebrate the International Day of the Arab Language. She thanked the Society for its role in adopting such distinctive projects that serve childhood.
Elementary and primary schoolchildren from various schools participated in in two rounds of the contest.
In conclusion of the contest, Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhroo honoured the winners and organizing committee members. He also honoured all participating students. The participating students and their parents expressed greatest happiness to have participated in the contest.
