Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi attended a ceremony hosted by the ministry's Student Services Directorate to honour retirees marking the World Teachers' Day.
The ceremony, held at the Education Ministry's Hall in Isa Town, was attended by 135 retired teachers.
Addressing the audience, the Minister lauded the efforts exerted by the retirees over their career, noting that the education sector enjoys the the leadership's constant support.
He said the honouring is a token of gratitude to the retirees for the crucial role they have played in the kingdom's education march, valuing highly the honourees' rich experience.
The Education Ministry will hold other functions across the kingdom's schools in the coming period to mark the World Teachers' Day.
