A sixty Baccalaureate holders 2014, whose average marks range between 17,87 and 18.78, have been honored Thursday in Algiers by Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, in a ceremony held in the Palace of People.
The ceremony was attended by senior state officials, namely Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House) Abdelkader Bensalah and President of the National People's Assembly (Lower House), Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa and members of the government and the parents of 60 distinguished graduates.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented medals and symbolic gifts to the winners who have obtained the best marks nationwide. They have also been offered trips to Turkey.
The distinguished winners are Yahi Bey Abderahmane from Relizane who obtained the best average nationwide with 18.78, Henni Mohamed from Oran with 18.53, while the third place is for Rezzoug Rania from Blida.
The other winners have also been granted presents, before posing for a family photo with both speakers of Parliament Houses.
The Baccalaureate examination success rate reached 45.01% in 2014, nearing that of 2013 (44.78%), up by 0.23%.
