The British Council in Dubai are hosting a series of pre-departure workshops for those planning to study in the UK in 2011 or 2012.The half-day sessions are being held this month and aim to provide students with information about studying and living in the UK as well as making sure they are well prepared to get the most out of their time in the UK.Two briefings for students leaving the UAE for the UK will be held on August 13 in Abu Dhabi, from 10am-1pm at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan Hotel, and on August 20 in Dubai, at 10am-1pm at the British Council Office.The briefings will cover topics such as learning and teaching methods in the UK, adapting to a new culture, managing finances, getting around and applying for a visa.Those attending will also be entered into a prize draw to win a ticket to the UK with Etihad.
