The ministerial committee for legislations gave approval this morning for the country’s draft law of compulsory education. Compulsory education is a system under which every individual would receive education until a certain age. At meeting held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Justice Dr. Hadef Jouan Al Dhahiri, the commitee gave a reading of the law after necessary amendments were introduced to the daft. The proposed law will now be presented to the competent authorities for its promulgation. Minister of Education Humaid Mohamed Obaid Al Qatami, Minister of Environment and Water Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad and other members of the committee attended the meeting.
