Turkish police detained 60 students involved in a fight at Istanbul University, local media Today's Zaman reported Tuesday.The report said the fight broke out at the university's Beyazt Campus between two groups of students with opposing ideological views. They attacked each other with stones and sticks.Police intervened and detained 60 students involved in the clash. Security measures have been tightened around the campus.Tensions have also been high at Dicle University in southern province of Diyarbakir over the past week due to clashes between pro-Hizbullah students and a left-wing student group.
