Eligible students for the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa’s scholarships are being urged to start sending their papers on Sunday (July8) online on email info@nbhf.bh. Royal Charity Organisation board of trustees’ chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser today directed the committee in charge of the scholarships to start receiving applications. Under the scheme, a batch of five-hundred eligible low-income students would be sponsored to study at Bahrain University. Scholarships will also be provided for students opting for academic specialties which are not available at Bahrain University. Eligible students should be Bahrainis, admitted at the university, hailing from a low-income family, with at least a pass grade of 70%. Students already having scholarships or grants would not be eligible. Shaikh Nasser congratulated all graduates, describing the scholarships earmarked for low-income students as a catalyst for youngsters to arm themselves with knowledge.
