The UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this afternoon visited The Gulf Educational Supplies \'&\' Solutions exhibition (GESS 2013), which runs from March 5 - 7, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is held under the title: \"Smart Learning and Technological Advances in Education.\" Accompanied by Humaid Al Qattami, Minister of Education, and the GCC Ministers of Education, Sheikh Mohammed toured the halls of the exhibition, which hosts over 300 exhibitors from the UAE and GCC countries, as well as other 30 countries, who are featuring their latest education technology equipment. During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed about the latest education technologies in the areas of smart education, being showcased by major companies from Korea, China, Germany and elsewhere. He expressed his satisfaction at the holding of such educational and technological exhibitions in the UAE as they provide ways in which educationalists, teaching staff and students can benefit from the latest knowledge technologies. Sheikh Mohammed noted that the investment in the education sector is the best kind of investment, since it meets the educational needs of youth so that they can build a bright future based on innovation and knowledge. He called on the youth, especially the students, to learn what is new and better for the future, wishing them success in their studies to serve the country.
