Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-No’aimi approved a decision suspending a teacher who had used a wooden ruler with metal pins fixed onto it inflicting lesions onto the bodies of a number of students. After verification of the charges made against the teacher she has been suspended until such time when a competent court considers her case. Earlier on, parents of students raised complaints against the teacher and after investigations and verification was carriedd out by a special probe panel who heard testimony from all sides it turned out the teacher had deliberately fixed metal pins onto a wooden ruler and used the device to punish students which resulted in physical injury and psychological pain as well as likely vunlnerability to poisoning.
