The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, approved this morning (Tuesday: 17 June 2013) the results of the first round of Secondary Schools Exams 2012-2013 for general, technical and vocations secondary schools. In an official speech on this occasion, the Minister of Education congratulated successful students, their parents and teachers, expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain\'s wise leadership of our beloved motherland for their support to the educational march which enable the Ministry of Education to accomplish most optimum results and upgrade educational output year after year. The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Education has prepared scholarships plan for this year in line with the requirements of the Ministry and various governmental bodies and the private sector whose needs have been assessed in this aspect. Scholarships will be provided to all talented, high-achievers. including private school students and students with special needs according to procedures and standards applicable to scholarships. The Minister, in his speech to students, teachers and parents on this occasion, explained that the results for this academic year (2012-2013). The total number of students who sat for the general secondary school examinations this year was (5833) regular students. Of these (5603) female and male students successfully passed the examinations, including (2214) male students and (3389) female students in addition to 159 male/female domestic students. The total number of graduates who have successfully passed the examinations this year is (5762) male/female students with a successfulness rate of (96.1%). The number of high-achievers in the first round of examinations who have obtained 95% or above are 450 males and 320 females (apart from students of the technical section). Certificates will be issued to students as from today 17th June 2013 during office working hours from their respective schools. Also, exam results can be viewed on the Ministry of Education\'s website (www.moe.gov.bh) or Bahrain e-Government Portal (www.e.gov.bh). Complaints are entertained from students who would like to complain at their respective schools from 7:00 am until 12:00 noontime starting from Monday: 17th June 2013) until Wednesday 19th June 2013. The second round of secondary schools examinations will be held as from Wednesday 26th June 2013 until Wednesday 3/7/2013. The Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa Technical Secondary School has been allocated for issuance of extra copies of certificates/transcripts to graduates.
