The Ministry of Education plans to shift school administrative responsibilities to the private sector in order to carry the role off the shoulders of teachers, the education minister said on Sunday. Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Nayef Al-Hajraf made the statements during a meeting with senior school staff, underscoring the outcome of the education process in meeting the state's goals and vision for the future. The ministry also plans on setting a unified curriculum for public kindergartens and nurseries, the administration of which will be carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs, he said. Meanwhile, an e-file, including information on school students' academic and sports achievements, grades, contributions to activities, and punishments is being planned by the ministry. The file will start at grade one and will follow the student all the way until their high-school graduation. The ministry also intends to construct two schools - for boys and girls respectively - for children with learning difficulties, next year.
