Kuwait - KUNA

Head of Kuwait teachers society Met\'eb Al-Otaibi and his counterpart of the Egyptian Teachers Syndicate Dr. Ahmad El-Hilwani signed here Tuesday an education protocol that would boost relations and lead to the formation of an Egyptian teachers syndicate in the country. During the signing ceremony, Al-Otaibi stressed the strong relations between Kuwait and Egypt within the education domain, affirming that the teachers society would always be eager to defend the rights of educators in Kuwait whether they were citizens or expatriates. He said that the signing of the protocol was a historical moment that further bolsters cooperation in the education sector between Kuwait and Egypt. El-Hilwani, on his part, thanked Al-Otaibi for his sincere sentiments, affirming that Egyptian teachers, estimated at around 27,000, felt like they were living amongst their people and therefore, they were honored to serve the country. He noted that the signing of the protocol was an effort to solidify cooperation with Kuwait teachers society, adding that any steps to solve any issue would be through the society. Speaking on part of the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait, Cultural Attache Dr. Mona Rabi\'e thanked the Kuwaiti government for its continuous efforts to support Egyptian teachers in the country. Expressing similar sentiments, chairman of the Egyptian teachers syndicate in Kuwait Yaser Na\'eem said that the newly-founded syndicate would focus further on supporting the bonds linking Kuwait and Egyptian educators for the sake of the new generation.
