Police in the Philippines say two elementary school teachers kidnapped for ransom in Iligan City were released by their captors. Keno Sanchez and Rene Sumagang, teachers at the Limunsudan Bayug Falls Elementary School in Barangay Rongongo, were abducted March19 by armed men. They were released Sunday night. Iligan City Mayor Lawrence Cruz said no ransom money was given to the kidnappers, ABS-CBN News reported Monday. The abductors are linked to illegal logging in the area, police said.
