The Board of Governors of Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU) has confirmed the names of 200 graduates for Master's and Bachelor's degrees for 2012-2013 from e-School of Business and Quality Management, School of e-Education, and e-School of Health and Environment Studies. In their recent meeting, the board members underlined the scope of cooperation between HBMeU and Fujairah College to provide high-quality education aimed at building a highly competitive young generation who can effectively cater to emerging trends. The meeting further discussed plans to conduct the first training program on e-Learning for faculty members at Fujairah College, as well as to prepare graduates to pursue Master's degrees at HBMeU. Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security and Chairman of HBMeU's Board of Governors, said, "The year-on-year increasing number of graduates at HBMeU manifests the implicit trust that we have gained from the academic community, being the university of choice in the Arab World for e-Learning and distance learning. The successive achievements urge us to continue to work hard to develop world-class academic programmes which offer high-quality vital disciplines to meet the fast emerging changes in the 21st century. The Board of Governors is committed to adopting leading quality initiatives on a par with our strategic aspirations to re-shape the future of education through creative means. This will raise the bar on e-Learning excellence by encouraging contemporary scientific research as well as academic and intellectual achievements while also disseminating modern knowledge among academic and social communities." HBMeU is the first e-learning institute in the Arab World and was established with the vision to develop a new learning process through the implementation of learning practices characterised by flexibility, quality and diversity to strengthen self-leadership among learners and prepare them socially and academically for a future career through integration in the job market.
