Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside the Bahrain Embassy in Doha, recently sponsored the annual orientation ceremony held by the Cultural Attaché’s Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Qatar, for new Bahraini students studying in Doha. The orientation ceremony, held at the Diplomatic Club in Qatar, was held under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Wahid Mubarak Sayar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Qatar, and included welcome notes by His Excellency the Ambassador, and the Cultural Adviser Mr. Abdullah Al Kaabi, followed by the screening of a short film giving an overview of the history of education in Bahrain and the Kingdom’s pioneering role in the field. The ceremony was attended by Gulf Air’s Country Manager in Qatar, Mr. Wael Mattar, who welcomed the new students and wished them a happy and successful year ahead. Commenting on the event, Mr. Mattar said "Gulf Air is committed to supporting the communities in which it operates and in supporting Bahraini nationals living abroad. As the national carrier we are involved in several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives not only in Bahrain but across our global network". This ceremony is part of a series of activities underway by the Cultural Attaché’s Office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Qatar to help support Bahraini students in Doha, and which include a number of events.
