An anonymous Emirati philanthropist and businessman has donated funds to the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation for the education of 84 orphans. Munira Omer, Assistant Director of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, praised the humanitarian gesture of the philanthropist, adding that the move reflects the course outlined by the U.A.E. to build human resources. She appreciated the role shouldered by the private sector to support the efforts of national foundations. Founded in 2002, the centre's role is to give educational, social, health and psychological services to orphans. It specialises in enabling orphans to become active in society through social empowerment.
