Doha College students have performed exceptionally well in all areas of (I)GCSE examinations, principal Mark Leppard said yesterday. At (I)GCSE 91% of students achieved 5 - A* to C grades with 50% securing 5 or more A* to A grades. At A Level the results were equally impressive with 78% A* - C. “These figures put Doha College comfortably in the top 100 UK schools bracket, a measure associated with an outstanding school,” Leppard stated. The vast majority of 6th Formers are now heading off to university to study. Leppard explained: “We are extremely proud of the outstanding results achieved by our students. The support from parents and staff is a major factor, but the attitude and commitment by our students contributes significantly to these successful outcomes.” A large number of students scored 100% in individual units, which is a remarkable achievement. Teresa Woulfe, senior vice principal, head of secondary, explained: “Our students have worked extremely hard and have fully embraced the ethos of Doha College. Their refreshing approach supports learning and enables these outstanding results to be achieved.” From GT
