The Technical and Vocational Training Council in Makkah organized a drawing competition for young Saudis with the aim of developing patriotism and love for their homeland at its club for hobbies and learning on Saturday. The competition carried the theme, “My precious homeland.” Ahmed bin Jallah, vice president of the council, said: “We are targeting thousands of secondary school students and their families to participate in this competition through our different branches in the Kingdom.” He added this competition followed several others that focused on patriotism, religion, nature, national identity, Islamic culture. He said the aim was to bring young nationals together under the supervision of Makkah governorate. Hazza bin Mujree, director of the vocational training summer club, said the competition would test participants’ technical skills. Mujree added: “Through this competition participants will express their love for their country, its protection, sense of belonging to the homeland, and work for the development and progress of the nation.
