A college student was found dead in Narsingdi Sadar upazila Sunday morning hours after he went missing. Sumon Miah, 20, a BA first year student of Narsingdi Government College, was stabbed in his throat and abdomen, said Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station. Quoting victim’s father Rowshan Miah, police said Sumon went out of his Daripara residence Saturday evening but he did not return home the whole night. Local people found Sumon’s body at a banana field adjacent to his house around 8:30am Sunday and informed police, reports our Narsingdi correspondent. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.
