Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and CEO of Kalimat Group, has participated in a panel discussion entitled: "Education: when does it start? A focus on early childhood education" on day two of the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai. Sheikha Bodour stressed the importance of providing a classroom environment that combines learning with fun for young children in order to encourage them to study, stimulate their creative thinking, and motivate them to try to interpret and analyse their surrounding environment, all of which helps to broaden their cognition and develop their talents and abilities in various areas. She pointed to the need to provide better conditions and resources for teachers to enable them to think creatively and exert greater efforts in both improving their educational practices and also keeping abreast with educational and technological developments, particularly as education is changing rapidly to keep up with modern challenges, so that teachers are equipped to prepare the next generation to be able to effectively contribute to growth and better future. Sheikha Bodour made use of the opportunity to introduce Horouf Educational Publishing, and its goals of preserving and instilling a love of the Arabic language in the hearts of children through simplified and modern educational methods. She said that Horouf's programme was launched in September 2013 and aims to support learning in the Arabic language through the use of modern technologies. She added, "Horouf is striving to make a breakthrough in the methods of learning in the Arabic language through innovative technology enabled educational programmes, especially designed to motivate students' interaction, creativity, and systematic thinking." She clarified that it is difficult to predict the ideal method for teaching in the future, however children must be given more space for creativity to be able to fulfil their dreams and ambitions and serve their nation and community.
