Two dogs attacked a student on an Atlanta high school\'s baseball field Monday afternoon, prompting officials to lock down two schools for a time. The 10th-grader was bitten on the face and taken to a hospital, Atlanta Public Schools spokeswoman Kimberly Willis Green told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The boy was having reconstructive surgery, WSB-TV, Atlanta, reported. \"At this time, the dogs have not been captured and our animal control officers will be setting traps in order to capture the animals,\" Fulton County Animal Services Executive Director Lara Hudson said. \"We are also patrolling the area and are asking citizens to be cautious and under no circumstances approach these animals if they encounter them.\" Carver High School and nearby Slater Elementary School were placed on lockdown after the 1 p.m. EDT attack until 2:30 p.m. While police and school officials identified the dogs as pit bulls, Hudson said they are Rotweilers, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. The newspaper said one student said students were given the reason for the lockdown and thought someone was attacking the campus. \"They said it was a \'hard lockdown\' and told us to stay in our classrooms away from the door,\" Darius Floyd said.
