Oprah Winfrey is reportedly pulling the plug on Lindsay Lohan's OWN documentary series, Lindsay and is not even considering ordering a second season. Sources close to the 60-year-old media mogul claim Winfrey has grown tired of Lohan's behavior on the series, disapproves of all the stories that other media outlets have published about the actress' life and wishes Lohan had done more to promote the show. Poor ratings also played a role in Winfrey's decision. Insiders claim the OWN network was expecting to get three times as many viewers to watch the series premiere, but only 700,000 people tuned in. Moreover, the sixth and next to last episode of the series, which aired Sunday April 13 from 10 to 11 p.m., averaged around 390,000 viewers. "Oprah will tell Lindsay later this month that her show won't be reappearing in the future," a source told the Daily Mail. "First and foremost, the ratings were an absolute disaster. It didn't pull in the viewers that Oprah had hoped for." In 2013 Lohan signed a deal with Winfrey's OWN Network to participate in an eight-part reality series that would document her efforts to remain sober and revamp her acting career. She was reportedly payed $2 million to star on the show. Sources claim that OWN saw the show as a "a possible long term hit series." "In reality the series has simply showed that Lindsay is a long way from returning to Hollywood," the insider said. "And her attitude towards the advice and help Oprah gave her seemed to be ignored in the main."
