Constantine, along with three other freshman series, was canceled by NBC.
The network didn't order a second season of the adaptation of DC Comics title Hellblazer, starring Matt Ryan as a demon hunter.
The first 13-episode run of the series didn't fare well, with a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 and averaged 4.5 million viewers. Warner Bros. could try to sell the series to another network or platform, The Hollywood Reporter said.
NBC also gave the ax to State of Affairs, starring Katherine Heigl, Marry Me and One Big Happy. Sophomore offering About a Boy also won't return next season.
On the plus side, NBC has ordered a number of new series, including a spinoff of Chicago Fire called Chicago Med, another medical drama titled Heartbreaker, and Blindspot starring Jaimie Alexander, Entertainment Weekly reported. The network also picked up comedies People Are Talking, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Superstore with America Ferrera and Ben Feldman, and family series Crowded.
