A sport official announced Saturday launching of the 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup Tournament's official website (www.gulfcup.sa), as well as creation of two official accounts for the event on social media networks: Twitter and Instagram.
The Arabian Gulf Cup tournament has been considered, since its birth 40 years ago, an important Gulf sporting legacy for everyone, Ahmad Al-Khamees, the tournament's director, stated in a press conference, pointing out Saudi Arabia's keenness on hosting the tournament in Riyadh next month.
"Sports media have been a main partner in all Gulf Cup competitions. All journalists will have the best services to help them do their coverage in the best way," Al-Khamees noted, adding that the tournament's official website, available in Arabic and English languages, was made with latest technologies in order to provide the best information, photos, and every issues regarding the tournament and its history.
He also said that significant additions have been made for the main facilities of King Fahad International Stadium and Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium, including players and referees changing rooms, and journalists and media main centers.
A meeting is to be held with the website's editor in chief and his deputy, as well as directors and correspondents of television and radio sports channels on October 28 in Riyadh, to crystallize media visions, points, and views between the tournament committee and media delegations regarding the tournament, he noted.
