We are celebrating our 10th anniversary today and you, having made it possible, are our special guests. So a big thank you for your unflinching support and steadfast belief in us. When we first hit the stands in March 2007, who would have thought that this tiny newspaper would cement its place in your hearts so quickly. But small is beautiful and local is the only game in town for us. XPRESS has not just filled the need for a multi-cultural community newspaper that you can truly call your own, it has also emerged as the most engaging, and, I dare say, most endearing read in the country
Breaking new ground
Every Thursday, we break new ground in story telling by coming up with smashing nose-on-the-ground reports that defy conventional thinking.
We pioneered cutting-edge investigative journalism in this part of the world with shocking exposes and intriguing scooatchdog. Readers are at the heart of everything we do, which explains why all our content is so unabashedly and relentlessly local. Admittedly that’s our biggest strength.
We monitor the pulse of the community and focus intensely on stories that impact you directly. Much in the same way we write about the movers and shakers, we also write about the plight of people who have been moved and shaken by them
Unchanged values
“As we mark our tenth anniversary, our values remain fundamentally unchanged: to keep an eye on what goes on in the country and to bring readers the news they need to know,” says Abdul Hamid Ahmad, Editor-in-Chief of XPRESS and Gulf News and Executive Director Publications, Al Nisr Publishing LLC. Building on these core values, XPRESS has extended its reach in the UAE and now has an Abu Dhabi edition as well. Between the two cities we print around 80,000 copies which are readily available in malls, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, airports, community centres and building foyers for free. For Dh50 annually, you can also have it delivered to your doorstep anywhere in the UAE.
We love hearing from you and we will keep striving to give you a great read every week
