Qatar's Ministry of Transport and Communications is hosting the fifth regional Cyber Drill for Arab countries, organized by the ITU-Arab Regional Cybersecurity Centre (ARCC) in collaboration with the ITU Arab Regional Office.
Taking place on March 5-9, the workshop will host Arab region’s CERTS, security operation centers at the vital sectors and private information security emergency centres, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The workshop aims to boost communication capabilities, teambuilding and cyber threats response capabilities, aiming to maintain the ongoing efforts exerted by that Arab computer emergency response teams (CERTs) in combating cyber threats. It also works as a platform for cooperation and discussions on current challenges in cybersecurity domain among the participating countries.
The workshop will feature several sessions tackling current cybersecurity issues and training sessions on cybersecurity, in addition to mock cyberattacks that will feature different cyber threat scenarios of the most common cyberattacks, QNA reported.
