Facebook went offline for many users on Thursday, with the world's most popular social network telling users that "something went wrong", the Telegraph reported.
When visiting Facebook.com, instead of seeing the normal homescreen or news feed, users were greeted with a blank screen and a short error message.
"Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can," the message reads.
The outage began at around 5.30 p.m. BST but, for most users, appeared to have been resolved around 20 minutes after.
