Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre launched its innovative first of its kind in the UAE new mobile application, TeleMed, this week, enabling greater interaction between patients and doctors in telemedicine consultations.
The Centre, a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company and Switzerland's leading telemedicine provider, Medgate AG, was launched in October 2014, and utilises telemedicine, a globally proven form of healthcare delivery, to provide medical consultations over the phone.
The new application, TeleMed, makes the teleconsultation process more efficient and personalised by allowing patients and physicians to share medical information, including data and images, on its confidential sharing platform to assist in the medical diagnosis process.
Free for download on both Android and iPhone, new application supports the tele-consultation process, and enables convenient sharing of medical information between patients and physicians at the touch of a button.
