The official website of the 21st Gulf Cup, scheduled to be held in Bahrain in January, was launched yesterday. (http://www.gulfcup21.bh) was unveiled at a special ceremony held at the Organising Committee premises in Seef area. Tournament Director Ahmed Al Nuaimi made the first click on the link to officially inaugurate the website, specially designed for this prestigious event to be held from January 5 to 18. The ceremony was also attended by heads of sub-committees and local media representatives. Media Committee deputy head for technology affairs Hamad Ali Hussain said the site would be providing live media services to delegations attending the tournament. The domain also presents other services like official forms to acquire media passes as well as online booking of match tickets. The website\'s main links supervisor George El Hany of Lebanon said the homepage carries the official logo and mascot and news updates will be posted regularly. It also features the complete schedule of the tournament, while match scores, standings and statistics to be updated in real time along with live photos. The site also carries the tournament history besides brief information on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Bahrain Football Association. The function was attended by Media Committee head Tawfeeq Al Salhi, Ceremonies Committee head Rashid Latif Zayani, Stadiums Committee head Khaled Al Haj, Transports Committee head Ali Al Majed, Executive Secretary Maryam Yousef and Media Committee co-ordinator Ali Al Arabi.
