Syrian religious TV channel Nour e-Cham started experimental broadcast on Saturday evening on Nilesat: frequency /10911/ and on Arabsat: frequency /12054/. The Channel is to broadcast Friday sermons and various religious programs in a way to provide a right understanding of Islam and the Islamic rules. Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed underscored the important timing of launching the channel on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, saying Nour e-Cham TV aims at spreading Sharia sciences and Islamic culture and introducing the great values of love, fraternity and religious tolerance Damascus has always been known for. \"The channel\'s motto is not to exclude anyone as it will provide a platform for every scholar and a door for every science,\" said the Minister, adding the new channel will promote the Islam\'s message of tolerance, peace and amity. For his part, Minister of Information Adnan Mahmoud said the channel will open its doors wide before the Arab and Islamic civilization with all its spectra. Minister Mahmoud pointed out that the Channel will take care of the Arabic language and focus on highlighting the sciences and archeology in Syria and its cultural message, saying \"It is our duty to promote our sublime values in the face of the attempts which aim at undermining our religious and moral values.
