Bahrain TV Channel has started broadcasting its service among a bouquet of other Arab channels as part of plans to expand its global outreach. The Information Affairs Authority (IAA) gave the go-ahead for the channel to broadcast its programmes on four satellites which target Arab-speaking communities all over the world – in a move coordinated with the Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (Arabsat) officials.
The Ministry of State for Information Affairs is embarking on an ambitious plan to project Bahrain's voice all over the world, upgrade media facilities, keep abreast of global trends and develop national media institutions.
Viewers can watch Bahrain TV programmes on satellites "Galaxy 19", "HISPASAT 1" , " AsiaSat-5" and "Arabsat 5C", which cover North and South America, Asia and Africa.
Viewers wishing to watch Bahrain TV programmes can set their dishes as per the following frequencies:
-North America - "Galaxy 19"- Frequency: 12056 – Vertical Polarisation(VP): 2200 – Modulation: 3/4.
-South America - "HISPASAT 1" - Frequency: 12092 – Horizontal Polarisation(HP): 27500 – Modulation: 3/4.
-Asia - AsiaSat-5 - Frequency: 3760 – Horizontal Polarisation(HP): 27500 – Modulation: 3/4.
-Africa - "Arabsat 5C"- Frequency: 3934 – Polarisation(LHCP): 27500 – Modulation: 8/7.
