Minister of Communication, Hamid Grine said Thursday in Algiers his department is "fully committed to" contribute to the creation of a parliamentary TV channel that requires adaptation to the provisions of the broadcasting bill.
In response to a question asked by a MP from the Front of Socialist Forces party (FFS), Abdelhamid Abbas during a plenary session of the National People's Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Grine said the creation of such a TV channel required the preliminary study of several issues including incomes and human resources, as well as defining the legal and regulatory conditions.
The creation of a parliamentary channel requires "an important financial package" to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability and expand its programs so as they will not limited to activities of the committees and parliamentary sessions," the minister stated, noting this parliamentary channel a "careful" study to ensure quality programs and contact between the people and their representatives.
