An information day on launching the 2nd part of the "TASDIR +" programme of Competitiveness and Export Development Support Fund was organised on Tuesday at the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) headquarters.
This day is part of the second call for applications, launched on January 16, 2017 and to close on February 28, 2017, a CEPEX statement said, adding that the objective of this event is to help companies to get acquainted with the new programme and facilitate their accession in the context of this second call for candidates, the same source said.
The discussions which followed this information day helped companies to refine their business plans before submitting their applications. It was also an occasion to inform them about the various recent initiatives in the field of export facilitation and help exporters express the various obstacles they encounter in their export activities.
The tax and legal regime of export groups was focus of several interventions to be deeply discussed with the TASDIR services.
The Tunisian government launched the Export Development Project (PDE3) over a five-year period. It is a programme funded in part by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Competitiveness and Export Development Support Fund (TASDIR +).
With a budget of $ 23.5 million, TASDIR + is meant to improve the competitiveness, development and diversification of Tunisian companies' exports.
A first call, launched on 22 December last year, attracted 344 applications and retained 137 files (103 companies and 17 start-ups) for a total investment of 20 MD, which received a global fund of more than 10 MD
