Dream TV owner Ahmed Bahgat has claimed to understand the confusion around his channel’s scandal, but said that he will not give up his rights to broadcast from Cairo. “It seems that we have disturbed the ruling regime, although we were the first channel to give members of Muslim Brotherhood the chance to show before the revolution,” said Bahgat. He also expressed his determination to resume the transmitting, stressing they can broadcast from any other country and other satellites”. In a press conference, the Dream TV team explained the government decision to ban the channel. Baghat explained that his channel was accused of broadcasting from different satellites. “In the future, the channel will discuss very critical issues. First, Israel’s theft of Egyptian natural gas, in addition to the security issues in Sinai,” the businessman added. TV presenter Ahmed Amer said that Morsi should shut down porn channels instead of legitimate and serious channels.
