Media experts, MPs and Shura members stressed the need for setting up a comprehensive national media strategy aims to highlight Bahraini women’s achievements at the local and international level.
This came in a round-table meeting organized by the Supreme Council for Women, in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, titled “Media and political participation of women”.
SCW Secretary General Hala Al-Ansari attached great importance to the media role in raising political awareness and accentuating the successful experiences of Bahraini women. She called for exploiting social media to promote Bahraini women’s achievements.
Royal Court Special Envoy Sameera Ibrahim bin Rajab proposed the establishment of a mini-committee consisting of media experts to develop a national media plan to ensure the sustainability of highlighting Bahrain’s achievements in terms of empowering Bahraini women in various fields.
