Australia’s leading online film renting company, Quickflix, has struck a licensing deal with HBO to boost online video within its domestic territory. The subsidiary, claimed to be the largest premium TV supplier in the US will supply Quickflix with over 500 hours of content including TV series, films and other forms of content. Individual stand out content items will include Sex and The City, The Soprano’s, Entourage, Band of Brother and The Pacific. Available immediately online, the two parties say that the HBO content will soon be available on a range of platforms including connected TVs and other web-enabled devices.
