A paid-for Polish-language newspaper in the East of England is planning to expand its coverage area to other parts of the UK. Nasze Strony (which means Our Pages) has been published fortnightly for the past two years and is distributed in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. The 30p title is now looking to extend its print run and appeal to Poles elsewhere in the UK, starting with an expansion into Lincolnshire. Editor Krzysztof Szczepaniak told BBC Look East: "After four editions we realised how popular it was and started to report about other regional towns and cities. "There are many Poles living and working there, but there are many other large communities we also want to appeal to." The paper said in a recent editorial that it aimed to show the other side to some of the "previous, hostile articles" in the British press about the Polish community. It said: "Our work has caught the attention of local authorities, NGOs and the police, who have often thanked us for our support and assistance in finding missing persons."
