Imams and preachers have condemned the terrorist attack on the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo newspaper by gunmen which claimed a number of lives and injuring others.
They asserted that such a "heinous terror act" is unjustified, and rejected by the Islamic Religion.
In Friday sermons in the Kingdom's mosques, imams affirmed that "violence and extremism have always been -and still are – the biggest enemies of Islam, and contravene its teachings, tolerance and genuine precepts."
They stressed that the countries should take unified stances against terrorism, whether by countries, groups or individuals, calling for the need to devise a unified international strategy to combat its forms and manifestations in countries and societies.
They also urged to prohibit its means, criminalise its financing and bring those who call for it or incite it to justice.
They expressed hope that such acts, which are rejected all divine religions, will not re-occur in any country, praying Allah Almighty to protect Bahrain and all countries from all evils.
