Kuwaiti minister forms panel to upgrade media, artistic production

The Ministry of Information has formed a technical committee comprising a group of highly-qualified Kuwaiti artists and media experts to help boost Kuwaiti artistic production.
The Director of the Artistic Works Department at the ministry Abdulaziz Budastoor told KUNA Saturday that the committee was formed by the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah to better choose the topics of and improve the content of drama series and other products of the different media and artistic institutions.
He added that the committee is tasked to ameliorate different media products to better represent Kuwait and help tackle the important social issues in a presentable way.
The panel aims to enhance the competitiveness of Kuwaiti media and artistic products and to encourage media production companies to cooperate with Kuwait TV to produce distinctive works, he said.
It also seeks to market Kuwaiti media and artistic production in the Arab world to restore its leading role in the region.
