Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah paid on Saturday an inspection visit to the agency's office in Paris to become acquainted with the progress of work, as part of his current visit to the French capital.
Sheikh Mubarak listened to a briefing from head of the office Ahmad Al-Mazyad on the various comunication channels with the Kuwait Embassy in France and various official media outlets here.
Sheikh Mubarak expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts exerted by the office in the provision of services and coverage of a variety of news as well as following on all Kuwaiti events in France closely, urging the staff to exert more efforts to strengthen the position of the national news agency on the regional and international arenas with professional, excellence and credibility standards.
He stressed the importance of continuing communication and strengthening cooperation with the French media organizations, especially with the Agence France-Presse (AFP) where the two agencies enjoy ancient ties so as to achieve the goals of the Kuwaiti agency.
He underscored the need to take advantage of the latest technological means to achieve speed in the transmission of news to the headquarters in Kuwait to enrich KUNA's bulletin constantly.
He also discussed with office workers the necessary requirements to facilitate the process of dealing with the news in order to contribute to raising the level of the agency and the promotion of its media presence in Paris.
Sheikh Mubarak was accompanied by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations Department at the agency, Esam Al-Ruwayeh .
