Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Cuba's news agency (Prensa Latina) have signed a media cooperation agreement aimed at exchanging news, data and expertise and covering national occasions of the two countries.
While visiting KUNA, Cuba's Ambassador to Kuwait Andreas Marcelo on Monday handed over a copy of the agreement to the Board Chairman and Director-General of KUNA Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah following the signing.
The agreement stipulates providing all support and facilities to reporters of the two news agencies.
Ambassador Marcelo hailed KUNA's role in strengthening relations between Kuwait and Cuba, stressing the importance of continuing joint cooperation to achieve targets and interests of the two peoples.
For his part, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij underlined KUNA's readiness to provide all media support that contributes to enhancing bilateral cooperation and expanding its fields.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij referred to efforts by Ambassador Marcelo in cementing bilateral relations, inviting the chairman of Cuba's news agency to visit Kuwait. KUNA's senior officials were present at the meeting.
