The journalist Hocine Djebrane, dubbed as one of the best press writers in Algeria, just passed away in Paris, at the age of 82, his colleagues announced Sunday.
Djerbane started his career at Radio Télé Luxembourg (RTL). He returned to Algeria after independence where he successively served as editor of the daily El Moudjahid, news director at Algeria Press Service (APS) and Secretary General of writing at daily Liberté.
The deceased also taught at the School of Journalism of Algiers and served as advisor to the Minister of Information and Culture, late Mohamed Seddik Benyahia during the 1970s.
