French journalist Jean-Louis Hurst, who died Tuesday (13 May) in France at the age of 78, has been laid to rest Wednesday at the Christian cemetery of Diar Essaada in Algiers according to his wishes. Journalists, historians, academics, lawyers, mujahideen (liberation war veterans), representatives of the Prime minister, the minister of Interior and Local Authorities, the minister of Foreign Affairs and other institutions, in addition to the deceased' daughter, Annik, attended the burial ceremony. In the funeral oration read by a representative of the Ministry of Mujahideen, the values and the qualities of the late Jean-Louis Hurst, particularly his commitment to the Algerian cause during the National Liberation War and later to all the just causes around the world, were highlighted.
