Head of the Egyptian Media Production City Osama Heikal said Wednesday the recommendations of the "Egyptian media and fighting terrorism conference… reality and expectations" will be introduced to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi once finishes.
The conference's most prominent recommendations are stressing on swift issuing of legislations, an ethics code to govern media, grouping the broadcast of satellite channels at one place, as well as discussing the renewal of the religious discourse in media outlets, Heikal said.
Heikal noted the importance of organizing periodical and constant training sessions for media men and journalists on the disciplined media discourse and conversations.
He said the private media was lack to any regulating principles as their permissions issued from the Ministry of Investment, and called on revising the status quo.
In coordination with the Arab Organization for Dialogue & International Cooperation, the Egyptian Media Production City held Wednesday the media conference.
Head of the Egyptian Radio and Television (ERTU) Essam el-Amir, head of the Syndicate of Journalists Yehia Qallash, along with a number of prominent media men, businessmen, journalists and writers were present during the conference.
